FINDLAY, OH - Kenny Jacobs dusted the field in the All Star sprint 30-lap feature Sunday night at Flag City Motorsports Park. His win, aboard the Hughes Wheel and Axle, J&J with Kriner-Chevrolet power, was number eight on the season and came by four car length over his brother Dean Jacobs.

"I don’t know if you could get a car hooked up tonight, Jacobs, the All Star points leader, recalled. "It was so rough and slick that it was hard to drive. My mechanic just did the best he could do and said the rest was up to me." But it was a spectacular show for the fans, with plenty of dicing for position and wheelies on the backstretch for several drivers. Third was Joey Saldana’s Steve Mox Stealth with Randy Kinser fourth and Frankie Kerr’s Stan Shoff Eagle fifth.

With an eight inversion, Jason Dukes started his John Boy chassis on the ButlerBuilt Hot Seat Pole with Kelly Kinser alongside. K. Kinser led lap one until R. Kinser ducked under him from fourth to lead lap two with sixth starting K. Jacobs in third. R. Kinser pulled away from his cousin until he hit lapped traffic on lap six. Traffic allowed K. Jacobs to pass K. Kinser for the runner up spot on lap seven, and he began closing on R. Kinser’s Franklin Power Products Maxim. Saldana was on the move also, snaring third from K. Kinser on lap eight.

Kenny Jacobs moved low in turn two, ducking under R. Kinser to grab the lead on lap 10. Saldana got past Kinser to take over second on lap 12, and when the first caution appeared for a Greg Wilson stall on lap 14, seventh starting D. Jacobs was now third. D. Jacobs got by Saldana after the restart, and set his sights on his brother’s lead. By lap 18, Kenny had a half straightaway advantage, but traffic loomed ahead, and his lead began to shrink. As K. Jacobs rode the cushion of the fast and rough 3/8 mile, D. Jacobs followed in the same groove, and several times K. Jacobs bounced hard off the turn two cushion, slowing him for a moment and allowing Dean to get closer in Denny Ashworth’s Schnee. A lap 27 caution for flats by Rocky Hodges and Todd Kane, set up a three car, three lap dash for the finish. But K. Jacobs pulled away to win by four car lengths over Dean and Saldana.

Sixth was Keith Kauffman, with K. Kinser fading to seventh, Kevin Huntley eighth, Butch Schroeder ninth and Johnathan Stevens tenth.

The United Expressline heat fell to K. Kinser, the Southwest Expressline heat went to R. Kinser and the Southwest Glass heat was won by K. Jacobs. Kerr won the Commercial Truck & Trailer Dash with Keith Kauffman the United Expressline B Main winner. Shane Yoder won the ALMS late model main.
