ROSSBURG, Ohio (Sept .23) -- Over the past several years, Kenny Jacobs has pretty much dominated the All Star Circuit of Champions sprint scene at Eldora Speedway, but Chad Kemenah is quickly correcting that. After winning the Eldora Anniversary race in June, Kemenah, who has wrapped up the series points crown, is looking to repeat that win and put an exclamation point on the end of his season on Saturday night Oct. 4.

Of the 112 All Star events completed on Eldora's one-half mile clay oval since 1981, Jacobs has compiled an impressive 21 wins, while Kemenah has three to his credit. With a win in 2001 and another last season, Kemenah has earmarked himself as a genuine contender whenever the All Stars invade Eldora.

Jacobs, meanwhile, hopes to swing the momentum back into his direction. Last year's winless spell broke a string of seven straight years that found him sitting in Eldora's hallowed victory lane. Jacobs has been on a hot streak recently, with a win at Lawrenceburg and several other top five All Star finishes.

While much of the focus will be directed towards Jacobs and Kemenah, another driver that is hungry to return to the winner's circle is Greg Wilson. Wilson racked up two All Star wins in 2001, but failed to grab the checkered here last season.

With the points crown wrapped up by Kemenah, second and third in the final standings will go to Jason Johnson and Dean Jacobs, but positions four through six are still up in the air. Eldora's season final for the All Stars will be the last chance to gain valuable points among drivers Ryan Coniam, Jeff Shepard and Wilson. The trio is separated by only 15 points and Saturday will tell the tale in the final point standings and determine the amount on points fund check that awaits at the end of the season.
