All Stars ready to challenge the NCRA in "Eastern Swing" June 14-15-16.
TOLEDO, OH -- The cars and stars of the National Championship Racing Association (NCRA) are preparing to invade the home turf of the All Star Circuit of Champions sprint car series at three different racetracks in Ohio and Indiana June 14, 15 and 16.
The three race challenge series is dubbed as the "All Star vs. NCRA Eastern Challenge" and drivers for both organizations will vie for bragging rights at Attica Raceway Park (Attica, OH), K-C Raceway (Chillicothe, OH) and Tri-State Speedway (Haubstadt, IN). The tour starts Friday at Attica, moves to K-C on Saturday along with the Renegade Dirtcar Late Model series on the "Night the Stars Come Out" and concludes Sunday in Haubstadt in the first All Star race there since 1994.
The All Stars and NCRA challenges have been held for the past six seasons at the annual August Thunder Through the Plains tours, and last season the NCRA came to the East and Midwest for the five race Eastern Challenge Series. These three tracks should equalize the competition since they are all short tracks, with Attica measured as a 1/3 mile, K-C as a 3/8 mile and Haubstadt is a quarter mile bullring.
Current points leader Chad Kemenah (Findlay, OH) leads the way to Attica the All Stars. Other top All Star drivers expected include Kenny Jacobs (Holmesville, OH), Dean Jacobs (Wooster, OH), Rodney Duncan (Lockbourne, OH), Danny Smith (Danville, IN), Kevin Frey (Mechanicsburg, PA), Mike Wagner (Harrisonville, PA), Leonard Lee (Milo, IA), Bill Rose (Plainfield, IN), Greg Wilson (Benton Ridge, OH), Kelly Kinser (Bloomington, IN), Barry Ruble (Burton, OH), Rob Chaney (Wooster, OH), Byron Reed (Monclova, OH), Bruce Robenalt (Tiffin, OH) and Jeff Shepard (Upperco, MD). Aussie pilot Lynton Jeffrey is also expected.
NCRA drivers expected at the three shows include defending NCRA points titlist Gary Wright (Hooks, TX), Sean Walden (Bentonville, AR), Jerrod Wilson (Siatook, OK), Earnest Jennings (Norman, OK), Brooke Tatnell (New South Wales, AU), Joe Bustillos (Broken Arrow, OK), Darren Stewart (Bixby, OK), Dan Oswalt (Iola, KS), Derek Beckman (Runnells, IA), C.J. Johnson, Chad Meyer (Sioux Falls, SD), Jan Howard, Kenneth Walker, Rodger Eckhardt, Travis Mize, Alan Burton, Bubba Hunt (Tulsa, OK), James High and Travis Scott.
