ATTICA, OH -- Greg Wilson led only the last foot Sunday night at Attica Raceway Park in the 40 lap Haulmark All Star Sprint Raceweek feature. He pulled a great slide job off turn four to pass race long leader Bobby Clark for his second win of the season. Round one of the 2005 Raceweek series paid the driver of the Bob Hampshire No. 63 $5,000 to win in an exciting finish as he won by the length of his front bumper.

"When you're racing for a living, you do whatever it takes to win," Wilson recalled in victory lane. "This is awesome. I could see Cody Geldart driving away from Bobby Clark on the bottom and thought that would be my only chance. I knew it was going to be close, and we came out with a win."

With Cameron Dodson and Bobby Clark leading the field to the green flag, Clark took the high groove to grab the initial lead. He led Dodson and Chad Kemenah for the early stages of the race in his own No. 8 wrenched by Andy Potter. Kemenah lost his spot on lap 17 when Kenny Jacobs spun into a stop in turn three and Kemenah had no where to go and slid into him. That put both cars on the tail for the restart.

Clark led again when the green came back out as Dodson held second over fifth starting Wilson. Wilson slid under Dodson for second on lap 20 and tried to keep Clark in his sights. Third starter Byron Reed then challenged Wilson, even getting by him for several laps but Wilson got back by. With four laps to go, Wilson really reeled in the leader in lapped traffic, and pulled right up on Clark's bumper. Clark pulled out to a one car length lead on lap 38, but Wilson used a slide job to get back to within striking distance on the next lap. Wilson then used a bonsai slide job in turns three and four to win the race to the checkered flag.

"I saw him in turn one and I was coming up on the six car and I was undecided what to do," Clark recalled. "He (Wilson) threw her in there and it was a nice clean move. I just lost the drag race."

Reed ended up third ahead of Kelly Kinser and Mark Keegan.

The Crown Battery heat fell to Mark Keegan, the B&B Products heat went to Mike Linder, the Engler Machine and Tool heat was won by Paul May and the TP Wings heat fell to Lee Jacobs. The University of Northwestern Ohio B Main fell to Todd Kane and Kemenah captured the Haulmark Dash. Kelly Kinser was the Huggins Cams Fast Time qualifier. John Ivy flipped during time trials and Rob Chaney flipped hard in the first heat. Both were okay but through for the night.
