ATTICA, OH -- Dale Blaney backed up his Wednesday night win with a Friday night victory at Attica Raceway Park in the Haulmark All Star sprint car 40 lap feature. Byron Reed led the first 26 laps until Blaney, who started 12th, got by and led the rest of the way.

"We've been really good when it gets slick. The track took a bit of rubber then I just snuck up around Byron. I just got around him before the rubber got heavy. Then I lost my header under the yellow and I started pedaling pretty good with no header on it. But it worked out pretty good," Blaney said from victory lane. He drives the Andrews Motorsports Maxim with George Fisher power.

With Jac Haudenschild on the pole for the start, Reed lined up second followed by Danny Smith, Jeremy Campbell, Mark Keegan and All Star points leader Chad Kemenah. Reed led from the start, followed by Haudenschild and Campbell. With Reed pushing to a nice lead, Campbell and Haudenschild began a battle for second, with Campbell getting a nice low groove run to take the spot on lap seven. Then Campbell got alongside Reed to take the lead, but a yellow flew, nullifying the move.

The John Ivy spin with nine laps in the books reset the lineup as Reed leading, with Campbell back to second followed by Haudenschild, Smith and Kemenah. Campbell kept challenging Reed, and the pair went side by side for the next six laps. Campbell would take the lead on the backstretch, but Reed was stronger off the turns to officially lead each lap. A lap 16 caution was displayed as Brandon Martin spun, with a yellow a lap later for debris on the track. After the race it was discovered that the debris was Blaney's header. Reed still led Campbell, Haudenschild, Kemenah, Smith and Blaney was now sixth for the restart. Blaney picked off Smith and Kemenah on lap 18 as Campbell and Reed put on another crowd pleasing side by side battle.

Blaney took third on lap 21, and drove under Campbell for second two laps later. Now he set his sights on Reed. It took him three laps to reel in the Reebar Die Casting No. 5, and Blaney finally made a high groove backstretch pass stick.

Blaney pulled away from Reed once in the lead, and weaved expertly through lapped traffic to seal the win. Reed ran second at the end with Haudenschild taking third from Campbell on lap 33. Wilson was fifth after starting 14th, followed by Kemenah, Smith, Kinser, Lee Jacobs and Bill Rose.

"Jeremy is going to be a good racer. He was pushing me, making me run harder. But then Dale was a little bit better than we were," Reed recalled.

The Crown Battery heat fell to Huggins Cams Fast Time qualifier Kemenah, the B&B Products heat went to Greg Wilson, the Engler Machine and Tool heat was won by Craig Mintz and the TP Wings heat fell to Caleb Griffith. Eric Rankin won the Outerwears Pre-filters C Main and Bill Rose won the University of Northwestern Ohio B Main after Danny Smith captured the Haulmark Dash. Phil Gressman flipped in hot laps, ending his night and Jon Agan and Eddie Lynch flipped in the first heat. All were okay. Aaron Scott captured the 30 lap ALMS late model main over Shane Yoder and Brian Ruhlman.
