ALMA, OH -- Greg Wilson led all but four laps Saturday night at K-C Raceway in the 40 lap Haulmark All Star Sprint Raceweek finale feature. His second win of the week, in the Bob Hampshire No. 63, was worth $10,000. Kenny Jacobs and Kelly Kinser waged a tremendous battle all race long for second with Jacobs earning that spot ahead of Kinser.

Kinser won the Raceweek championship and the Keco Cup, worth $2,000. Second in Raceweek was worth $1,000 in Keco product to Chad Kemenah with Danny Smith in third, earning $750. Paul May was the Keco Hard Luck winner for the week, worth an additional $750.

"I was glad for all the yellows tonight," Wilson stated. "Man, Hamp put the right tires on that thing. All week long I've been complaining about the dang tires and he made me look like a hero. I'm not sure what's going on, heck we fired each other several times throughout the week, and no matter what happens I love Bob Hampshire and everything he's done for me. This is an awesome win."

Byron Reed started from the pole and took the early lead with third starting Wilson close in second until he build up enough momentum to put a slide job on the leader to gain the top spot on lap four. That put Reed in second with Smith third and second starting Rob Chaney fourth. Smith got by Reed on lap eight as fifth starting Jacobs also got by and moved into third.

Wilson kept the lead through several cautions as Jacobs moved into second on lap 13. He began closing in on Wilson in lapped traffic as Smith now had his hands full with Kinser, who started in the 15th spot.

At the halfway point Kinser had moved into third and Jacobs was trying to pass Wilson in the high groove as race leader Wilson ran the bottom of the speedway. Following a couple more cautions, Wilson was able to stretch out his lead with an open track ahead of him as Jacobs and Kinser put on a crowd pleasing battle for second.

Lap 33 saw Reed drop from contention with a flat tire. He was running sixth and forced to go to the pit area to change the tire.

It was now a seven lap dash to $10,000. Wilson pulled away on the final restart with Jacobs second and Kemenah, who was in the top five all night, now moving past Kinser for third. Kinser, in his familiar low groove, kept the pressure on Kemenah and got back past around him for third as Wilson pulled away to win by a half straightaway.

Smith was fifth with 19th starting Jac Haudenschild sixth. Dean Jacobs earned the Fisher Performance Hard Charger of the race award for coming from a provisional 25th place start to end up seventh. Dale Blaney was eighth, followed by Jeremy Campbell and Randy Hannagan. Hannagan earned the $100 Schrader Sand and Gravel bonus for tenth.

"I kind of thought I was going to win it tonight," Kinser recalled. "In lapped traffic I really reeled Wilson and Jacobs in but the yellow flew and we never did get back in traffic. So we'll take third."

The Crown Battery heat fell to Bill Rose, the B&B Products heat went to Cody Geldart, the Engler Machine and Tool heat was won by Kevin Huntley and the TP Wings heat fell to Randy Hannagan. Ed Neumeister won the Outerwears Pre-filters C Main and Ryan Coniam was the University of Northwestern Ohio B Main winner. Rob Chaney captured the Haulmark Dash and Kemenah was the Huggins Cams Fast Time qualifier. Lee Jacobs was transported to a local hospital with a foot injury after a torsion bar from another car came up through the floor of his machine in the B Main.

The All Stars return to action on Saturday July 23 at the St. Francois County Raceway in Farmington, MO.
