BLOOMINGTON ADDS ALL STARS CIRCUIT OF CHAMPIONS TO '99 RACING LINEUP

BLOOMINGTON, IN (February 7, 1999) - The All Stars Circuit of Champions, Franklin Power Products and Bloomington Speedway have joined forces to return the All Stars touring sprint car series to the southern Indiana oval. Franklin Power Products Night, on Friday, June 4, will mark the All Stars first event at Bloomington since 1994. The race will pay the winner $5,000. With a busy week in the Hoosier state, the All Stars are scheduled to compete at Brownstown Speedway on Wednesday, June 2, and at Evans Kokomo Speedway the following Sunday.

With 41 winged sprinters in the pits on September 16, 1994, Texan Gary Wright claimed the last All Stars visit at Bloomington. Randy Kinser took second, with Bobby Davis Jr., Danny Smith and Kevin Huntley completing the top five. In other appearances of the All Stars at Bloomington in 1994, Joey Saldana Jr. took the checkers on May 27, and Van Gurley Jr. won the August 5 event.

Bloomington's Kelly Kinser, a frequent competitor with the All Stars, has won three winged sprint car events at Bloomington in the past two years. There is no doubt that he will face tough opposition from other series regulars including Kenny and Dean Jacobs, Frankie Kerr, Kevin Huntley, Jeff Shepard, Keith Kauffman and Danny Smith.

Also on the marquee, Indiana street stocks and open wheel modifieds will battle for $500 to win in 25 lap features. General admission is $20, and pit admission $25.
