PONCE INLET, FL - After a series of eight Florida races in February, the cars and stars of the All Star Circuit of Champions sprint car series return to action in the Midwest on the high banks of Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Saturday night April 8 for a $5,000 to win main event. Over the past 20 seasons, Eldora's Earl Baltes has hosted the All Star series 101 times, with defending All Star champion Kenny Jacobs the leading race winner with 19 victory lane visits. Last year, Jacobs and Joey Saldana each visited victory lane twice in Eldora action as 32 different drivers have won Eldora All Star shows.
The following Saturday April 15, the All Stars travel to Gene Frankart's Attica Raceway Park in Attica for the annual Coors Nationals. Jeff Shepard is the defending Coors Nationals race winner at the track which has hosted 49 All Star shows with 24 different winners. Frankie Kerr sits atop the Attica All Star win list with eight wins.
After a week off, action moves eastward to Ed Skillman's half-mile Sharon Speedway in Hartford on their new night of action, Friday, on April 28. In the past, Sharon has hosted the All Stars 74 times, with Doug Wolfgang the leading feature winner at Sharon, leading the list of 31 different winners with 10 wins.
The next night, Saturday, April 29, action moves south the fast 3/8 mile of K-C Raceway in Alma, just south of Chillicothe, where promoter Eleanor Karshner has presented the All Stars 53 times, showing 25 different winners. Last season at K-C, five different drivers visited victory lane there, Kenny Jacobs, Dean Jacobs, Byron Reed, Butch Schroeder and Alvin Roepke.
