PONCE INLET, FL - The All Star Circuit of Champions would like to clarify three important sprint car rule specifications for the 1999 season. The first deals with frame rail thickness, the second with the allowance of titanium brake rotors, and the third with a top wing specification.

1. The All Star Circuit of Champions would like to clarify their new chassis requirements to take effect May 1, 1999 with respect to minimum tubing size and thickness. The following are subject to inspection:

TOP RAILS must be minimum 1 1/2" diameter X .095 thickness.

BOTTOM RAILS must be minimum 1 3/8" diameter X .095 thickness or 1 1/2" diameter X .083 thickness.

ROLL CAGE UPRIGHTS must be minimum 1 3/8" diameter X .083 thickness.

ROLL CAGE TOP CROSS MEMBERS must be minimum 1 1/2" diameter X .095 thickness.

UPPER RAILS must be minimum 1 3/8" diameter X .083 thickness.

REAR END SAFETY BAR is a mandatory piece. Must be a minimum of 1" diameter X .083 thickness.

BRACE must be minimum 1 1/4" diameter X .065 thickness.

2. Effective immediately titanium brake rotors will be allowed.

3. Two stationery foils or rudders will be allowed to run the entire length of the underneath portion of the top wing. (Maximum height proportions are one (1) inch at the front and three (3) inches at the rear. Nowhere shall the foil exceed three (3) inches in height.)
