The Superleague Formula by Sonangol paddock will welcome a fresh face in Monza this October after a young Danish mechanic won the chance to work with FC Midtjylland and Hitech Racing.

Brian Nonboe Kristensen will help prepare Kasper Andersen's race car as part of his prize for scooping Denmark's Mechanic of Year award. The 20 year-old will be swapping his garage in Aarhus, where he services everyday road-going production cars, for Hitech's immaculate workshop at Silverstone where he will help ready the 750bhp, V12 racer. Then it's off to Italy, and the historical pit lane of Monza, where Brian will become an integral part of the team for the championship's fifth round.

Kristensen said: "For me this is a dream come true. I haven't thought so much about my expectations but I believe it is going to be exhausting. But that's racing. You have to be quick and effective. You cannot relax for one second if you are a part of such a team."

He was nominated for the award by fellow colleagues who describe Kristensen as talented, helpful, conscientious and very devoted to his duties.

FCM Racing, Team Hitech and Kasper Andersen all congratulate Brian on the award and are looking forward to benefitting from his services at Monza.
