Clear Win at Primm 300 - BF Goodrich best Tyre in the Desert
Dear friends and partners,
You may have heard or read it: Martin Christensen and I scored a dominant class win at the Primm 300 on 5 and 6 September with All German Motorsports. After 300 gruelling miles through the desert close to Las Vegas we were first of the Class 1 Unlimited Buggys and made it to third overall.
There are a thousand possibilities to destroy your car in the Nevada desert - we made it through and won
The race was one of the toughest in my career with outside temperatures always around 40 degrees Celsius. I did the start and the first stint, which was two laps, roughly 150 miles. I was the first Class 1 Unlimited Buggy on the way, only the 800hp Trophy Trucks ahead of me. Right from the start I drove fast, but very cautious in order to hand over the car in a decent state to Martin, who would do the second half of the race. Nobody overtook me, but I overtook I think five or six Trophy Trucks in the first lap.
Highspeed in deep sand - no room for error
In lap two I went significantly slower, because the track had turned into a real mess. It was unbelievably rough. Then Martin took over the car. And with his unlimited feeling for the car and his speed, he carried it over the next 150 miles and secured our victory. What a great and fantastic feeling that was! All of the AGM team once again did an immaculate job. I want to say a big "THANK YOU" to Escondido from here!
Almost indistructable - the BF Goodrich desert tyres
And we all have to thank our long standing tyre partner, BF Goodrich. We only had two punctures during this incredibly tough event - clearly much less than most of our competitors. So BF Goodrich with their desert racing experience of quarter a century and with their avant garde technology is a good part of our success.
We made it! Martin Christensen, navigator Bryan Lyttle und me (r-l)
We had quite a victory party at AGM, and as it is in racing: once the job is done and the race is won, you immediately turn to the next challenge. So at the tables we all talked and thought about the ultimate challenge coming up: the Baja 1000!
Hi everybody! We made it again! All German Motorsports and friends
In two weeks time I can tell you here how preparations are going.
Until then, cheers and best wishes,
