Goodwood-Siberia-USA - no time for boredom
My plans for the next weeks are incredibly interesting and exciting. The Transsiberia Rally is approaching fast. I'm driving one of the 26 Porsche Cayenne S. After testing on Porsche's offroad testing terrain in Leipzig I put together a list of things that the Porsche technicians at Weissach's legendary racing department and I would like to work on over the next weeks - ranging from the position of the helmet carrier to where the equipment will be attached and to the optimal positioning for the tow rope. At the beginning of August we head off on our rally adventure over many thousands of kilometres...
While I work on our Siberian rally, Martin Christensen - our team boss at All German Motorsports - travels to our partner ZF Sachs in Schweinfurth. These specialists are looking at a clutch for our brawny engine, shocks that have to withstand almost everything, and a torque limiter for our new six-speed gearbox. Martin will then test in the USA while I contest the Siberian.
And just in case the pace of my life isn't fast enough I've received an invitation from Toyota to go to Goodwood. From 22 to 24 June I'll be there in the Celica with which I won the WRC round in Spain.
But now I want to congratulate and thank Andy Aigner. At last luck was with Andy in Greece - without it nothing works in motorsport. Andy came second in Group N. He drove the most top times, he had the speed and ability to win - had it not been for one single puncture. Keep it up Andy.
And thank you as well to RTL for impressively switching over between the Acropolis Rally and the Baja. Thanks to them I could do the commentary on what was happening in Greece and share my tips while leaning on my Buggy. It's great to work with such professionals.
On this note, I'll be back to you in ten days,
