AJNR/Brimtek - Active Duty Soldier to Join Us at Mid-Ohio this Weekend
Round 5 of the 2010 Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup is this weekend at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. I am really eager to bounce back from my misfortunes from the last round at Miller Motorsports Park at a track I know and love. Mid-Ohio is a very fun and challenging track and this event will take place during the Rolex Sports Car Series race weekend where there will be thousands of fans in attendance. Should be very exciting stuff!
Joining me this weekend is Army Staff Sargent Justin Belt who is an active duty soldier from Delaware, OH. He will be accompanied by his girlfriend Lindsey and both of them will have access to the track as well as the VW hospitality tent for both Saturday and Sunday. I'll give them a tour of the technical center and have Justin sign one of the gold stars on the hood of my #2 Brimtek/WWP Jetta TDI Cup car. I'll also be giving them some AJNR swag! They should have a great time at the track this weekend.
Justin enlisted with the Army in 1999 where his military occupational specialty was in the infantry. He served two tours in the middle-east. One in Afghanistan and the other in Iraq. He is currently a recruiter for the US Army and is a big fan of motorsports, especially off road racing and rock crawling. It will be a pleasure to have Justin and Lindsey join us this weekend at Mid-Ohio.
On track action will start this Saturday at 9:20 AM EDST for our 30 minute practice session. Then on Sunday, we'll have our 30 minute qualifying session starting bright and early at 8 AM. Then Round 5 of the TDI Cup will begin later that morning at 11:55. Don't forget to tune into AJ Nealey Racing Live to catch all the action via my Ustream.tv account!
The outpouring of support has been relentless and, still to this day, it's hard to put into words how much I appreciate it! Thank you all very much for your continued patronage.
I'm looking forward to a great race weekend.
