The sixth Round (of nine) of the 2002 season will be held at Oscoda Michigan's Wurtsmith Airport. All ProSolo events are part of the Tire Rack? SCCA National Solo Program, which culminates with the National Solo Championships in Topeka, Kansas. This event is sanctioned by the Sports Car Club of America.

Format:

ProSolo combines a drag racing start with traditional curvy solo 2 maneuvers on sided by side, mirror-image autocross courses. Lining up at the familiar "Christmas tree" start, drivers compete heads-up in various classes by combining their fastest times from each course. After class competition is completed, all ProSolo events feature the top drivers from each class competing head-to-head in a variety of single-elimination handicapped Challenges culminating with the Peavey Super Challenge. The ProSolo National Series provides national-level competition in a series structure using all regular National Solo 2 classes.

With only two ProSolo rounds after Oscoda, this event will mark the make or break point for many ProSolo Championship hopefuls. This is the third East Coast based event of the season. In many classes drivers will be looking for their second win to secure maximum points going into the finale in September.

The Detroit Region is the host region for the Oscoda ProSolo. The region has plans to treat participants to an on site fish fry on Saturday night.
