Roughly 650 top amateur road racers will compete for SCCA National Championships during 24 races over three days at the Valvoline Runoffs®. Just to realize the magnitude of the event, consider the following facts:

24 races x 20 laps each = 480 laps of racing for spectators 650 cars x 20 laps = 13,000 total laps if every car completed every race lap 13,000 laps x 2.4 miles (length of track) = 31,200 miles, which is 6,298 miles MORE than the equatorial circumference of the Earth! 650 cars x 15 turns x 20 laps = 195,000 total turns if every car completed every race lap

These numbers do not even include the laps turned during the four days of practice and qualifying!
