NayKid Racing Adds New Partners for 2006 Season
Puyallup, Wash., March 7, 2006 -- NayKid Racing Managing Director Cindi Lux (Aloha, Ore.) and team owner Scotty B. White (Puyallup, Wash.) have announced the addition of several new marketing and technical partners for the 2006 Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Touring One (T1) campaign. The two drivers will again contend for titles in the Northern Pacific division, where Lux is defending champion, and the Southern Pacific Division, where White holds top honors. This year the team will debut the new 2006 Dodge Viper SRT10 Coupe after one season racing the Viper Roadster.
Chief among NayKid Racing's new partnerships is MOMO USA (www.MOMOUSA.com). The world-renowned provider of motorsports uniforms and equipment will use its relationship with NayKid to engineer and test new products that will benefit racers around the world for years to come.
"MOMO is very excited about working with NayKid Racing for the 2006 season," commented Rob Dommes, MOMO Marketing and Racing Manager on their choice of NayKid Racing to represent the company in SCCA Club Racing. "Scotty and Cindi have put together a fantastic effort with the Dodge Vipers. MOMO's heritage is in grassroots racing and we are delighted to have the opportunity to showcase our new products on their vehicles throughout the year."
"It's going to be fun to bring MOMO into T1 racing," said Lux. "Our new driver suits fit our team... they stand out. It's fun to work with a company who is fired-up and aggressively working on getting their name back out more in the market place."
The drivers will also benefit in safety advancements from a new relationship with Racetech Seats (www.Racetech.co.nz). Racetech is the official seat supplier for Dodge Motorsports' Dodge Viper Competition Coupe that runs in the SCCA World Challenge GT class and in FIA GT. The seats design is specifically crafted for the Dodge Viper.
Another key supplier for the new season is High Performance Coatings (HPC). HPC (www.HPCoatings.com) is the world leader in advanced ceramic coating, thermal barrier coatings and corrosion protection technology for motorsports, industrial, aerospace, food processing and transportation industries. HPC will add a special coating to the CORSA Performance exhaust system that will decrease temperatures and increase performance from the Dodge V10 engine in the Viper SRT10s.
Mintex Brakes (www.Mintex.co.uk) returns in 2006 with an even greater commitment to NayKid Racing. As the Original Equipment (OE) supplier to Dodge Motorsports for all Competition Coupe, Mintex brings an exact understanding of what it takes to give the Dodge Viper SRT10 its class crushing braking prowess. The specially-engineered pads maximized the braking of both cars last season and will do so again in 2006.
Lux and White will run their first race of the season together on March 17-19 at Thunderhill in California. Lux will again challenge in the No.78 KUMHO Tires/ Dodge Motorsports/ SRT Viper while White returns to defend his '05 success in the No. 3 KUMHO Tires/ Dodge Motorsports/ SRT Viper.
