Grassroots Motorsports joins 12 Hour Contingency Program.

15 April 2002: The DC Region of the Sports Car Club of America announced today that Grassroots Motorsports, America's Sports Car Magazine, has joined the contingency program for the 4th Annual Kumho Tires 12 Hours at the Point.

The May 31-June 1 event, an endurance race for sports cars and sedans, will be held at Summit Point Raceway. A record number of teams, fifty-five, are expected to start the grueling 12 hour race.

"The staff at Grassroots Motorsports have always been a strong supporter of SCCA's grassroots program and we're very happy to have them as one of our sponsors," said Jeff Janoska, DC Region PR Liaison. Grassroots Motorsports will be awarding a 6-month subscription to all of the class winning teams. Details of the program can be found at www.12hoursatthepoint.org.
