Jiffy-tite signs on as a 12 Hours at the Point Contingency Sponsor.

March 24, 2003: Jiffy-tite (www.jiffy-tite.com), a manufacturer and designer of high performance quick-connect fittings, and the Washington DC Region of the Sports Car Club of America announced today that Jiffy-tite has joined the contingency sponsorship program for the 5th Annual Kumho Tires 12 Hours at the Point. The event, the longest North American perennially held amateur endurance race for sports cars and sedans, will be held May 30-31, 2003 on challenging Summit Point Raceway. The Region expects that it will start the maximum number of cars allowed under SCCA rules.

"We're proud to show our support of grassroots racing," said Duane LaFleur, Motorsports Sales Manager. Jiffy-tite makes a wide range of affordable quick-connect fittings that have many racing and street applications. Duane LaFleur added, "Endurance racing is the ultimate test of a products reliability and we see the 12 Hours at the Point as an excellent way to illustrate the quality that goes into Jiffy-tite quick-connect fittings." Jiffy-tite Quick-Connect Fittings are also SCCA accepted and NHRA and IHRA approved.

"The Region greatly appreciates the support of Jiffy-tite," said William Radford, Director of Sponsorship. Radford went on to say, "Amateur motorsports is the backbone of racing in this country and the support of companies like Jiffy-tite helps us greatly."

Specific details of Jiffy-tite's contingency prize may be found on the Kumho Tires 12 Hours at the Point website (www.12hoursatthepoint.org). The race, like all SCCA races at Summit Point, will take place rain or shine. Spectator information also is available at the Kumho Tires 12 Hours at the Point website.
