Zander Radio Systems partners with DC Region as Contingency Sponsor.

28 April 2003: Zander Radio Systems (www.zanderadiosystems.com), a manufacturer and designer of radio systems providing racers with clear and concise communication at a fair price, and the Washington DC Region of the Sports Car Club of America announced today that Zander Radio Systems has joined the contingency sponsorship program for the 5th Annual Kumho Tires 12 Hours at the Point. The event, the longest North American perennially held amateur endurance race for sports cars and sedans, will be held May 30-31, 2003 on challenging Summit Point Raceway. The Region expects that it will start the maximum number of cars allowed under SCCA rules.

"Zander Radio Systems is excited about this opportunity to be a contingency sponsor for the 12 Hours at the Point. Zander Radio Systems has been designing, manufacturing and installing our brand of radio systems for thirteen years and we have always supported grassroots racing. Our participation as a contingency sponsor for the 12 Hours at the Point is just a natural part of that support," said Dave Zander, President of Zander Radio Systems. Zander added "...the grueling nature of a 12-hour race will showcase the reliability of our products."

"We are very happy to have Zander Radio Systems as one of the Region's 12 Hours at the Point partners" said William Radford, Director of Sponsorship. Radford added "Support from companies like Zander Radio Systems is a tremendous asset for, not just amateur endurance racers, but all amateur racers."

Specific details of Zander Radio Systems' contingency prize may be found on the Kumho Tires 12 Hours at the Point website (www.12hoursatthepoint.org). The race, like all SCCA races at Summit Point, will take place rain or shine. Spectator information also is available at the Kumho Tires 12 Hours at the Point website.
