Autoy, Inc of Rockville 1st to Join 12 Hour Contingency Program

October 6, 2003: Autoy, Inc of Rockville Maryland and the Washington DC Region of the Sports Car Club of America announced today that Autoy, Inc, specialists in the repair of BMWs, Porsches, VWs and Audis for nearly 30 years, is the first company to join the contingency program for the 6th Annual 2 Hours at the Point. The event, the longest North American perennially held amateur endurance race for sports cars and sedans, will be held June 4-5, 2004 at Summit Point Raceway. The Region expects that it will start the maximum number of cars allowed under SCCA rules. This will be the second year that Autoy, Inc. has been a contingency sponsor.

"Autoy is very proud to return as a contingency sponsor for the 12 Hours at the Point," said Dave Toy, President of Autoy, Inc. Toy, a DC Region member and driver of the Autoy, Inc./Autowerke BMW, is a regular competitor in DC Region's Mid-Atlantic Road Racing Series. Toy added, "The 12 Hours at the Point is a grueling event and the teams that compete have the same attention to detail and dedication to excellence that we have at Autoy. We respect the commitment of these grassroots endurance racers and want to reward them for it."

"Dave and Autoy, Inc. have strongly supported the Region for years," said one Region official. According to the official, Autoy, Inc./Autowerke is offering a 20% discount on most Bilstein Shocks and Hella Lighting Systems purchased by 12 Hours at the Point competitors. "As soon as we announced the race, Autoy contacted us and offered their support. Autoy Inc. also said that they were working on additional sponsorship support for the event and, as soon as the details are finalized, we will let everyone know what else Autoy, Inc is doing."

The 12 Hours at the Point, like all SCCA races at Summit Point, will take place rain or shine. Spectator information also is available at the 12 Hours at the Point website (www.12hoursatthepoint.org)
