ONTARIO, Canada (May 19, 2001) - Warren Stilwell, of Hartville, Ohio, broke his own track record and held on to take the pole for Saturday's Round Two Pro Spec Racer race at Mosport International Raceway. Keith Scharf, of St. Louis, Mo., and Steve Ott, of Brighton, Colo. completed the top three.

Under perfect conditions, Stilwell, driving the No. 28 Stilwell Racing Spec Racer, set a fast time of 1:35.789 (92.415 mph).

Scharf, driving the No. 82 Tech Hyper-V Spec Racer, had a quick lap of 1:35.844 (92.362 mph) late in the session, and looked set to take the pole until Stilwell reclaimed it on the last lap. Finishing third, in the No. 48 LaRue Motorsports Spec Racer, was Ott with a time of 1:36:238 (91.984 mph).
