Richard Zimmermann and the Zimmermann Autosport Alfa finished the 2000 ACE Gran Turismo de Mexico season where they started, FIRST. Richard completed the season by taking all but one pole position and swept every race by taking the checkered flag.

"This was definitely a dream season. I didn't imagine that we would win every race and the championship in our first try. It would not have been possible if it wasn't for Zimmermann Autosport and my Dad who did the car preparation and the entire "crew" from Earl's Performance Products in Indianapolis."

The series consists of late model Hondas, Acuras, VWs, Toyotas, and more.

Zimmermann is planning on doing the 2001 ACE Gran Turismo de Mexico season in the same red #21 Alfa Romeo. He is also looking to expand his wings and race in a professional series in the U.S. or do more racing in Mexico if the opportunity arises.
