IT was a Ford Falcon clean sweep in the first race of the V8 BRutes at Bathurst's Mount Panorama circuit today.

The recently-crowned 2002 BRute Champion Warren Luff confrmed his dominance by leading from start to finish in the seven-lap race for the RM Williams V8 BRute Challenge.

Right behind him all the way was dual Bathurst winner Allan Grice, who pioneered ute racing at the circuit in 1992.

Ford utes driven by Grant Denyer and speedway ace Todd Wanless took third and fourth places, with Gavin Harvey the first Holden Commodore driver, in eighth.

The next V8 BRute is at 10 am tomorrow as part of the lead up the Bathurst 24-Hour race, which starts at 4 pm.
