Brute Strength Bathurst assault.

Gavin Harvey, son of Holden stalwart John Harvey, joins James Brock as a driver of the Team Brute Strength Holden Ute. After a successful co-drive with Brock in the Great Aussie Ute Racem Gavin has joined the team on a full time bases for an assault on the 2003 V8BRutes Championship.

Gavin will debut for the Brute Strength Holden team in the V8BRutes at the Bathurst 24hr race on November 15 - 17. " Going to the mountain is always special whether you're watching or driving. It's the best track in the world and to be driving for the form team is a bonus,"

When asked about his chances for a win in the Brute Strength Ute, Harvey was confident in saying " Looking over the last three events you would have to say our chances are very good, the team is very focused. Teh fact that I haven't done the race miles won't affect us, I know the mountain demands respect."

Team Manager Pete Jones is satisfied with the team's accomplishments in 2002 and rates the Brock, Harvey win at the Sandown 500 as the highlight of the year.

"Gavin brings a lot to the team, he gets on well with everyone, works hard and he's a good bloke. The whole team is looking forward to working with him in 2003." Jones said.
