1st race: good recovering for Thomas, from the last position to the seventh

Qatar, February 13th 2009 - "Qualifications have been strongly conditioned by the unscrewing of the front left extension spring of my car - Biagi said - unfortunately I stated from the eleventh position and after a good start I was bumped in during the first lap, a crash that put me at last. I've luckily made a "circus manoeuvre" and with a perfect 360DEG turn I avoided both collision and to be sanded up...

I then went over without discouraging, thinking to the eight position in order to benefit from the inverted grid. That was so: I arrived seventh to the finishing line and tomorrow I'll be starting from the first row, together with Marco Melandri, a friend I want to congratulate with. Even Valentino Rossi, talented as well as car-driver, couldn't have had a better start. These two points are crucial for my team, Palm Beach, that is still the leader of the serie. Once again I've had so much fun in this category which fascinates me so much!"
