Race One Winner Caddell back for Mosport

The entry list for the next round of Ford Racing Mustang Challenge for the Miller Cup competition has been released by Series organizers, featuring eighteen racers for the Fathers Day weekend up North at the famed Canadian facility.

Several notable names are on the list, including Bruce Stover, who was unable to start the Road Atlanta round after a practice crash proved to be too severe to repair in time for the race. Fortunately, the Stable One driver looks ready to go for round two.

Another name to return is round one race winner Andrew Caddell, who had originally just planned on running the Road Atlanta round. Looks like he found a good place for the four BFGoodrich g-Force R1 Tires he won in Atlanta--on his Ford Mustang FR500S!

Slone Gets Seat Time at Lime Rock Park in KONI Challenge

Jamie Slone scored second place in the debut Ford Racing Mustang Challenge race at Road Atlanta, and will look to go even better when the Mustang Challenge makes its Lime Rock Park debut on August 16th as part of the NASCAR Camping World East event. Slone got a little extra exposure on the 1.53-mile circuit this weekend as he rejoined KONI Challenge competition with a run in a Mazda RX-8 during the Memorial Day weekend event.

Despite an encouraging opening stint, Slone's race hopes were dashed shortly after turning the car over to co-driver Chip Herr, who had to bail from the machine when it caught fire.

"Well it obviously didn't turn out the way were hoping, but its always fun to race at Lime Rock Park," said Slone, who took his first KONI Challenge top-ten at the track in a Ford Mustang FR500C last year. "Running the little Mazda made me really focus on keeping the momentum up, and hopefully that will translate into some extra speed when I get back into the FR500S at Mosport. It was cool to be part of the last race weekend on the old tack, and I am really looking forward to seeing what the place looks like once they are done with the pavement!"
