Legendary Ford Mustang Returns to Mosport International

Tooele, UT (11 June 2008) -- The Ford Racing Mustang Challenge for the Miller Cup will make its Canadian debut this weekend with a field of thundering pony cars invading Mosport International Raceway as part of the Father's Day Doubleheader. The Mosport round is just the second race in series history following the inaugural round at Road Atlanta in May.

Andrew Caddell of Graham, Washington, won the opening round race to take the championship lead over Jamie Slone. The two will have much more than just each other to contend with on the legendary 10-turn, 2.459-mile, natural-terrain circuit, as 18 Ford Mustang FR500S machines are expected to participate in the race weekend.

"We know that the Ford Mustang has a passionate following no matter where we race, and we are looking forward to putting on another great show for the fans at Mosport," said FRMC Managing Director Lynda Randall. "We were tremendously pleased with how the first round of the championship went at Road Atlanta, and we expect things to get even more competitive this weekend."

The Ford Mustang has a long and rich competition history at the Mosport facility, which rewards both courage and patience. The Father's Day weekend, which will also feature the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series and the Grand-Am KONI Challenge Series, will add to that legacy again this weekend.
