Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course Replaces Cleveland Event on Ford Racing Mustang Challenge Schedule

TOOELE VALLEY, UTAH (February 27, 2008) -- Officials for the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge for the Miller Cup announced today that the series will visit Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio, over the weekend of June 20-22, 2008, as a replacement for the cancelled event at Burke Lakefront Airport in Cleveland on that same weekend.

At Mid-Ohio, the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge for the Miller Cup will be part of the EMCO Gears Classic presented by KeyBank, joining the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series and the KONI Challenge Series in what will be an action-packed weekend for race fans.

"We are very excited to add Mid-Ohio to our schedule," said series director Lynda Randall. "The staff and management at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course have been incredibly welcoming and accommodating, and we very much appreciate the opportunity for the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge for the Miller Cup to become part of the EMCO Gears Classic presented by KeyBank. Mid-Ohio is one of America's most beautiful and challenging tracks, and our competitors are looking forward to putting on a great show for the fans."

The Ford Racing Mustang Challenge for the Miller is a "spec" series utilizing the new Ford Mustang FR500S fitted with BFGoodrich g-Force R1 tires. The series, which will be sanctioned by the Grand American Road Racing Association, will consist of eight races during the 2008 season.
