MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA, June 14. Former Ferrari Challenge Champion Jim Kenton, racing for the Ferrari of Washington team, took pole position for tomorrow's Ferrari Challenge race at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. Kenton, who leads the Championship points standings, was almost 4/10 second faster around the 2.74 mile Grand Prix circuit than Doug Peterson, racing for Shelton Sports Cars. Former Champion and twice Canadian Challenge race winner Steve Earle starts his Ferrari of Houston 360 in third position. Kenton's teammate Allie Ash will start fourth.

The grid of 19 Ferrari 360 Challenge cars will take the start late Sunday morning, shortly before the Air Canada Grand Prix. The timed 30 minute race, run in front of the large and enthusiastic Grand Prix crowd, is traditionally one of the highlights of the North America Ferrari Challenge season.

Participants in the Ferrari Challenge compete in specially-built racing versions of the Ferrari 360 Modena, with preparation and race support handled by teams formed by authorized Ferrari dealers in North America.
