3-hour Fox broadcast boosts live TV coverage.

LIVE television coverage of the Bathurst 24-Hour meeting has been extended with an agreement to show V8 BRute and GT Production Car races on Fox Sports 2.

The national cable network will broadcast from the Mount Panorama circuit between 12 noon and 3 pm on Saturday 16 November, PROCAR Australia Deputy Executive Chairman John Cowley announced.

The free-to-air Seven Network will cover the Bathurst 24-Hour race between 3.30 pm and 5 pm on Saturday and between 2.30 pm and 4 pm on Sunday.

The Fox Sports 2 telecast will feature the sixth annual GTP 2-Hour Showroom Showdown for production sedans, hatchbacks and coupes, and two races for Commodore and Falcon V8 BRutes, which made a highly popular debut on the Mountain last year.

Mr Cowley said the agremeent with Fox Sports 2 was a major boost for fans and competitors and extended the total live television committment to the meeting to seven hours.

"Fox Sports 2 already has a big audience for all categories in the PROCAR Champ Series with Grant Kenny's Inside Speed show every Thursday night, so the fans know they're in for some excitement when the GT Production Cars and V8 BRutes take to Mount Panorama," he said.

"We will also have extensive international TV coverage of our event, ensuring our competitors, categories and sponsors enjoy the widest possible coverage."
