Update at 1.45 AM Sunday

Last year's inaugural Bathurst 24 Hour winner Garth Tander took over the race lead in the #427 Holden Monaro at 1.45am today when the race leading #05 sister car completed another pit stop.

The two Monaros have swapped the race lead throughout the race -- both now holding a two lap advantage over the third placed Ferrari of David Brabham.

With the weather conditions now dry, the teams continued to press on with the individual class leaders all holding their position at the top of the field from virtually the start of the race.

Problems struck the #60 Class D machine which suffered a pit lane fire while the Garry Rogers Motorsport crew also took a precautionary look under the bonnet of the #05 Monaro with Greg Murphy now behind the wheel.
