Mount Panorama, Bathurst (NSW) 22-23 November 2003
Update at 1.30 PM Sunday

Holden Monaros are set for an extraordinary 1-2 finish in the second Bathurst 24-Hour race at Mount Panorama -- and Peter Brock is standing by to celebrate his 10th Bathurst endurance win.

At 1.38 pm, leader Greg Murphy on 05# had covered 517 laps and Garth Tander in 427# was 0.3 sec. behind and on the red car's tail.

The 427# lost the lead around 1 pm when it had to pit for extra oil in an overheating differential. Tander rejoined the race with a 22 sec. deficit but put in some blazing laps to catch Murphy, the 2003 Bathurst 1000 champion.

The Australian Porsche team of Peter Fitzgerald, John Teulan, Paul Morris and Scott Shearman is heading for third place, with 506 laps covered.
