Update at 5.45 AM Sunday

As daylight dawned on Mount Panorama, the Holden Monaro squad continued to set the pace in the Bathurst 24 Hour at 5.45am.

Both the #427 car of Garth Tander/Steven Richards/Nathan Pretty/Cameron McConville and the #05 of Peter Brock/Greg Murphy/Jason Bright/Todd Kelly remained on the same lap with the Porsche squad of Peter Fitzgerald/Paul Morris/John Teulan and Scott Shearman sitting ten laps adrift.

The Martin Short-led Mosler is gradually moving into podium contention -- moving into 5th place as morning broke.

However, with more than eight hours (or one third of the race) still remaining, the final result is far from certain.
