Update at 3.45 PM Saturday

Heavy rain has swept the Mount Panorama circuit 90 minutes into the Bathurst 24-Hour race.

The rain came as the field ran behind the Safety Car, called out while track workers removed the 40# Duller Motorsport BMW M3 of Robert Brooks, which hit the wall in the Cutting at 3.10 pm.

After virtually all teams called at the pits to change drivers and fit rain tyres, the leader was Greg Murphy in the 05# Monaro.

Just before the storm, the Cirtek Motorsport Porsche RS lost time with a flat left-rear tyre, with tim Harvey at the wheel. <pre> Outright 1. 427# Holden Monaro Richards/McConville/Tander/Pretty 36 laps 2. 48# Ferrari 360GT Brabham/Peter/Montermini/Engelhorn 3. 54# Porsche GT3 Cup Fitzgerald/Teulan/Morris/Shearman 4. 05# Monaro Brock/Murphy/Bright/Kelly 5. 420# BMW M3 GTR Bowe/Crompton/Crick/Algadri
