The 21st annual Monte Carlo rally include departures from Glasgow 65, Oslo 8, Palermo 12, Lisbonne 75, Stockholm 60 and Monte Carlo 117. Contestants are judged on the basis of skill, speed and endurance. The Monte Carlo starters must cover a course passing through Geneva, Strasbourg, Luxembourg, Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris and southward again to Monte Carlo.
