Rally ride auction to aid breast cancer research

The leading female team in this year's Targa Tasmania are doing their bit to raise money for breast cancer research by auctioning a ride in their Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI.

Motoring writer, Samantha Stevens, and her co-driver Claire Ryan, an ICU nurse, have put the ride up for auction on eBay, with the winning bidder receiving three 'hot laps' around the Symmonds Plains race circuit during the shakedown for the 19th running of the event.

The girls are trying to raise $5000 for the McGrath Foundation as part of their Targa Tasmania campaign, with more than $1500 already achieved.

The winning bidder will receive their ride on Monday, April 26.
