As the countdown to the 15th anniversary Targa Tasmania continues, Octagon welcomes communications company Commander and its Tasmanian Commander Centres as a new Silver Sponsor and the event's official communications provider.
Under the sponsorship agreement, the Commander Centres will be working behind the scenes to provide communication solutions for this year's Targa Tasmania from April 25 - 30 and for the 2007 event.
Just some of their work will include connecting their state-of-the-art Business Communication Manager (BCM) telephone system at Targa Tasmania event headquarters in Hobart and Launceston. This will ensure optimum communication lines between senior management, competitors and officials.
"We are delighted to welcome Commander into our network of Targa Tasmania friends, suppliers and sponsors," said General Manager Tasmania for Octagon, Rob McGuire. "Commander is providing Targa Tasmania with the best in telecommunications and up-to-date communications technology - infrastructure and services which are imperative for an event of Targa Tasmania's calibre."
Christian Feldmann, national sales manager Commander Regional, said, "Commander is an enthusiastic sponsor of Targa Tasmania 2006 because we share the spirit of competition held by the organisers and participants in the event. We are also pleased to be supplying the voice network and mobile phones used by the organisers to conduct the event.
"Just as Targa Tasmania covers Tasmania, Commander, through our local Commander Centres, is committed to serving the needs of small-to-medium-sized businesses throughout the state with a wide range of communications products and services. In fact, our local Commander Centres are designed especially to help local business owners select the solutions they need to communicate and operate in their competitive marketplaces."
The Commander business has been tailoring information communications and technology solutions to meet Australia's business needs nationally for more than 20 years. In Tasmania, Commander Centres operate in Hobart and Launceston, providing local, expert face-to-face service and advice on communications solutions for small-to-medium-sized businesses.
Growing further the Targa Tasmania family, Commander is also joined by Launceston based graphic design company Walker Designs as a Bronze Sponsor of the event. As part of their agreement, Walker Designs will be the primary creative force behind the 15th anniversary event's marketing collateral and publications.
