Subaru and Molly Taylor have completed 250 kilometres of testing ahead of the brand’s factory return to the Australian Rally Championship.
Subaru is readying its return to the ARC after an 11-year absence, with Molly Taylor set to spearhead the campaign in a brand new Group N Showroom-spec WRX STI.
And with the opening round of the series in Western Australia just over a week away, Taylor has completed 250 kilometres of testing in Tasmania.
“We’ve had a great test,” said former WRC Academy competitor Taylor. “It was my first time ever driving a brand new rally car.
“Combined with the fact it’s a professionally prepared all-wheel-drive car, it’s an exciting time.
“I felt comfortable in the car and our preparation is going very much in the right direction, as it ran faultlessly for two days.
“We’ll also do a smaller test in WA in the week leading up to the rally, so we can fine tune for local conditions.”
The Forest Rally in WA has been a happy hunting ground for Taylor in the past; 12 months ago, she became the first woman to win an ARC Heat after taking first leg honours.
