39 SPECTATOR POINTS ON TOYOTA DEALER 400

With no fewer that 39 spectator points along the route off road enthusiasts will be well catered for on the Toyota Dealer 400, penultimate round of the Absa Off Road Championship, in Mpumalanga on October 2 and 3.

Based once again in Lydenburg the route for this year's event has undergone radical changes. The Long Tom Pass section has been eliminated and the route also takes in new territory in the Rhenosterhoek, Sterkspruit and Kalmoesfontein areas.

The 70 kilometre prologue on Friday, October 2 to determine race start positions starts at the Lydenburg Rugby Club at 12:30 and is served by 10 spectator points. Four of these are within easy reach of the start on the R540 and R577 main roads, with additional viewing points on the R540 towards Dullstroom and the R36.

There are a number of spectator points close to Lydenburg on the first loop of the race on Saturday, October 3. These are again off the R540 and R577 roads, with additional spectator points further a field on both the R540 towards Dullsroom and the R36.

The second loop is 180 kilometres in length with about 80 percent of the route taking in new territory in the Sterkspruit, Rhenosterhoek and Kalmoesfontein areas. Access to spectator points is via the R37 and R36.

Spectator guides will be available at documentation at Lydenburg Toyota, Voortrekker Street, and at the start of the prologue and the race. Access to all spectator areas will be free of charge.
