Rally of the Tall Pines car a hit at the Performance World Car Show!

Richmond Hill, ON. March 14, 2006 - Following a very successful year of promotion ending with the largest event of the Canadian Rally Championship in 2005, the Rally of the Tall Pines began their 2006 promotional efforts this past weekend in Mississauga, ON by showcasing the Official Car of the Rally of the Tall Pines at the Performance World Car Show

The Team Triplus Subaru Impreza WRX has been adorned again this year with the Tall Pines logos and colours. The Yellow WRX built by Tall Pines sponsor Four Star Motorsports of Georgetown was first seen last year as part of the new marketing campaign launched by the organizers with great success and the partnership continues this year. The team had good results last year promoting the Tall Pines as they competed throughout Ontario and Quebec in the Canadian Rally Championship and the Ontario Performance Rally Championship circuits. "The decision to continue the marketing partnership in 2006 was easy as last year's campaign with Team Triplus really generated some excitement and interest in our event" remarked Organizer Richard Hepburn. "The Tall Pines was the largest event in the 2005 Canadian Rally Championship and we feel it was due largely to an increase in marketing efforts and public appearances by the event. The Team Triplus rally car seems to be a magnet to attract people's interest to the event" says Hepburn. For 2006, the vehicle will be used to promote the Tall Pines and Team Triplus at various venues throughout the year leading up to the event on November 24-25th, 2006. "We never thought that painting our car yellow would lead us to become the official car of the Tall Pines but it has worked out perfectly having all of the official event colours" said Alan Ryall of Georgetown, Ontario, owner and driver of the Tall Pines Team Triplus car.

The Performance World car show is the first incursion of the Tall Pines into the emerging Tuner community. Judging by the reaction the car and the event received at the show, it was a successful attempt to marry show cars with real race machines. The opportunity to showcase the car was prompted by the people of Performance Auto & Sound Magazine; the car was on display at one of their booth. This is the first show of the season for the Tuner scene and the first outing of the official car this year. "We have planned many more display opportunities for the car across the province to help attract more attention to the Tall Pines. We see this as a key part of our marketing strategy to keep the event at the forefront of the media and the fans, new and old" commented Francis Richard, sponsorship coordinator for the Rally. The promotional vehicle is also available for sponsor appearances and special events.

As the year brings us closer to one of the best rallies in North American in November, keep an eye open for an opportunity to see the Official Rally of the Tall Pines car and the Marks Work Wearhouse Peterborough & Lindsay Tall Pines Girls in your neighborhood throughout the year.
