With the starting of counting down to launch Toyota Race of Champions which will take place at the end of this month, whilst Jeddah is preparing itself to receive the participating delegates of rally champions in the Gulf and Middle East, the contracting company has completed building and preparation of the special track where the race will take place. The track looks like the champion track built in Canary islands in Spain.

Saudi Bin Ladin Group has prepared and built, in Dallah Club in Jeddah, a double track with two parallel lines, under the supervision of specialized engineers whom were chosen for this purpose. They have prepared a complete design of highly and best safety measures.

The track which is 2,4 km long, has lot of identical and wide curves, which require more efforts from the drivers, and as well, required vast experience and high driving skills to prove the capability of competition.

The track has been subject to various tests from the organizers and safety observers to enhance safety and protection means. Also, drivers participating in this Race will be given the chance to test drive the track to be familiar with it. It is expected that the track would form a genuine challenge to the drivers capabilities and their concentration on driving on such track.

The double track contains a sand barrier between both lines to avoid clashes and to enhance safety and protection. The racers will start by driving twice in the track passing by over 20 curves to show the driving skill, in addition, there is a bridge where it will be passed by one driver in the first lap then the second driver will pass by the bridge in the second lap. Other artificial obstacles were built to increase the spectators excitement and enjoyment.

Mr. Abdullah Bakhashab, the organizer of Toyota Race of Champions, has expressed his happiness where a national company Saudi Bin Ladin Group had built such track in accordance to the international standards and under the supervision of a highly qualified Saudi engineers. He added: "The Toyota Race of Champions will form an important step for the motor sport in the Kingdom. The participation of such big number of Middle East top rally drivers, and the presence of sport celebrities to attend such event will enhance its importance and will put Jeddah on the agenda of motor sport concerned people in the area".

There are 28 drivers allready in the entry list, between them we can find - Abdullah Bakhashab, Michell Salah, Saeed Alhajry, Mubarak Alhajry, Hamad Alwahibi, J.P. Nasrallah, Roger and Abdo Feghali.

On the first day the drivers will use a rally prepared TOYOTA RAV 4 and on the second day they will use a TOYOTA COROLLA WRC .
