This 2001 season so far made me think about some thing , the future of this great series .

The dominance of the Ford team ME and Muhamed Bin-Sulayem , with four wins in a row could make this championship to fall.

The luck of competitors in the A-8 class (grp-A, WRC ) is not good for the championship and only two to three drivers at the top are taking part in this class , M. Bin-Sulayem , M. Salah and A. Tseloftas from Cyprus , who start the season well but not appear in Jordan and Lebanon , and this is not a real competition .

In the only rally where there was more cars in this class , in Lebanon , we saw a good dog fight between Liatti , Feghali , Bahashab , Nasrallah and Bin-Sulayem .

So may be the solution is to try and bring more WRC class drivers to the Middle-East Rally Championship (like Liatti done in Lebanon ) for guest appearance , or to bring back the top arab drivers as - A. Bahashab and H. Al-Wahibi for some rounds of the championship , may be the manufacturers - Mitsubishi and Toyota , should take some commitment and put a works teams in this championship as Mr. Bin-Sulayem said some months ago , or maybe A. Al-Qassimi has to move to the grp-A (he already has the car...) to a stright fight with Bin-Sulayem, may be the championship should move to only super 1600 class or to only grp-N class cars , but Ford doesn't have the car for that....

Well , those were just some thoghts about the future of the championship, I hope to hear what you think about it. http://rally-net.20m.com
