The Peugeot Sport Cyprus Rally Team was founded in 1980 just after the Talbot team stop rallying. First cars of the team were 504 Coupe and the little 104 ZS.

After a while the team moved to the 205 GTI 1.6 & 1.9 litre, and then to 309 GTI 1.9 that gave the Peugeot Rally Team its first 2WD Championship in 1995 with Menelaos Melissas and Kypros Kyprianou at the wheele.

In the last two years the team using a 2 Peugeot 306 GTI-6 Group A and one Peugeot 306 S-16, a works car, and also three Peugeot 106 XSI and one old 205 GTI 1.9.

The Peugeot team won again the 2WD Championship in 2000, both the drivers and manufacturers, with Ikis Koustas and Pambos Laos. The team runs under the managment of George Kyprianou and Antonis Michaelides and sponsership from Valvoline motor oil.

The Peugeot Sport Cyprus is based in Nicosia. The drivers of the team are: Kypros Kyprianou, Koustas Kikis, Miltiadous Nikos, and Pavlos Pavlou. The co-drivers are: "Rockys", Laos Pambos, Charalambous Giannakis, and Elena Pavlou.

The Peugeot Sport Cyprus intend to enter the Cyprus WRC rally with two cars, 306 S-16 for Kypros Kyprianou and Rockys, and a 306 GTI-6 for Kikis Koustas and Pambos Laos.
