MACH 2 - STIG BLOMQUIST & THE WORLDS FASTEST FORD RS200 ATTACK PIKES PEAK

The Race: Since the dawn of motor sport those with racing blood in their veins have flocked from all over the world to conquer the Pikes Peak and beat the 10 minute barrier. It is the second oldest US motor sport but the last American car to win it was in 1993. The last Ford to win it outright was in 1934. From 1994 the event has been dominated by Japanese car manufacturers, Toyota and Suzuki. Our aim on the 4th of July is to break that run, the course record and the 10 minute barrier in our Ford RS 200.

The Builder: The car has been developed and built by Graham Hathaway who has prepared Ford competition cars for over 15 years. He has made it his lifes work to build the most extreme Ford RS 200 the world has ever seen and has an exhaustive knowledge of the car and has set 3 World Records for a production car using a Ford RS200 Evolution.

The Driver Our car will be driven by ex World Rally Champion Stig Blomqvist who recently came third in the UK RAC Rally in a Skoda. Stig performed all the development work in the mid 1980¹s for the Works RS200 during the little time that they were allowed to compete, and is extremely keen to get back behind the wheel of the fastest RS200 ever built.
