Gallagher Prepares To Maintain French Championship Lead

Winner of the opening round of the French Peugeot 206 Cup, Shaun Gallagher, is now preparing to compete in Round 2 of the championship in his Skip Brown Cars prepared Peugeot 206.

The Rally Terre d'Auxerre takes place on the 31st April -- 1st May and is run just south of Paris. The event is a two-day rally with twelve long gravel stages.

As on all French Gravel rallies the event will use the 1000 Pistes recce system, which was used for the first time on the World Rally Championship this year in New Zealand. The drivers run through the stages in their rally cars each morning and must make their pacenotes with just one pass over each stage.

Having competed in this event last year, Shaun and co-driver, Richard Pashley, are hoping that this experience will be of benefit to them when they take on 54 other Peugeot 206 Cup entrants who are recognised as France's best young drivers.
