Four Subaru "First" on the start line !
Willy Collignon and all the team First Motorsport will be present, this weekend, in France at the time of the "Rallye des Vins de Macon", new race of the "tarmac" rallies French championship of which it will constitute the second round.
Winners of the opening race, the "Rallye Coeur de France" competed in April, Benoit Rousselot and Gilles Mondesir will be favorite at the wheel their Subaru WRC2002 supported by the French importer. But they will find four other WRC on their road: Peugeot 206 of Alexandre Bengue and Didier Cormorèche and both Subaru of Jerôme Galpin and Alain Vauthier. This one, codrived by Philippe Souchal, will have in fact the WRC99 which it has just bought in First Motorsport which always ensures maintenance of it.
Subaru Rally Team France will be also present with two Subaru Impreza WRX Sti Gr.N "First". If Jacky Voirin and Jean-Paul Camacho will drive their usual version 2002, Yvan Muller - which will find Anne-Chantal Pauwels on her line as in the "coeur de France" - will drive the very new car of the Belgian racecar specialist, a 2003 "tarmac" version which is different from the "forest" version used the last month by a profit of weight of forty kilos and brakes more generous.
The Alsatian one, which could test its mounting the last week in Belgium, of it was very satisfied, having felt better a feeling at the wheel.
The race will proceed in thirteen special stages divided into three stages of this Friday 9 to Sunday May 11.
Rallye de Wallonie
- 03th-04th May 2003
Too fast retirement for Snijers...
Acquired a few days earlier in England, Subaru WRC2000 driven by Patrick Snijers and John Muth in the second round of the Belgian rallies Championship of first division could not, in spite of one best time, to show its real potential in the "Rallye de Wallonie" disputed the last weekend. As of after the third special stage indeed, the team First Motorsport, which ensures maintenance of it, could only note the motor's break.
