Bring And Braai Area At Carnival City Casino 400
Off-road enthusiasts who want to "rough it" will be able to let their hair down in their own area at the Carnival City Casino 400, the final round of this year's MSA Off Road Car Championship, on November 16 and 17.
Plenty of vantage points for those who want a biltong, braaivleis and sunny skies atmosphere will be available in a wooded area west of the casino complex. There will be ample parking and toilet facilities in the area, which will be in close proximity to a three kilometer section of the route specially constructed for the Carnival City Casino 400.
Access to the area will be via Louw Street. Direction boards will be displayed at freeway exits along the N17.
The Carnival City Casino 400 is the final event of the season, with a number of championship issues to be settled. This has given added stimulus to a race that replaces the Roof of Africa Rally which this year is for motorcycles and quad racers only.
Already dubbed by some competitors as the "Gauteng Roof," the event provides off-road enthusiasts with a weekend full of family entertainment. A spectator friendly route offers spectator points along the course and within the Carnival City Casino complex, and an Off-Road Expo will run from November 15 to 17 in the Big Top Arena.
The Off-Road expo will include displays from motor manufacturers and importers with a number of highly interesting vehicles on display. A wide range of motor accessories and camping equipment will also be exhibited, and vehicles taking part in the Carnival City Casino 400 will be on view on November 15.
There will be secure parking and toilet and refreshment facilities within the Carnival City Casino complex and the area assigned to the off-road race. There will also be added fun for children - with children's activities under adult supervision - who will be able to enjoy themselves at a kart circuit, skateboard park and climbing wall.
