The familiar Yellow & Blue H&R Springs / BMW's Pose Championship threat

February 28, 2002 - Will Turner, owner of Turner Motorsport-America's leading BMW tuner, today announced the drivers selected to compete in his 2002 SPEED World Challenge Touring Series effort. The Turner Motorsport /H&R Springs Team has been a part of the Touring Car Series since 1998 and this year, the team plans to spend a lot of time spraying champagne.

When the team first hits the track in mid-March, under them will be the purpose-built 2002 BMW 325i sedans prepared and built by the crew at Turner Motorsport in Amesbury, MA. The cars feature Turner-developed 2.5-liter inline 6-cylindar engines and fully adjustable H&R racing suspensions capable of giving the team their first-ever championship in the SPEED World Challenge Series. A trio of cars will be entered for the first race with a fourth chassis under construction entry after Sebring. The series boasts a well-rounded challenge of street and natural-terrain road courses that always test the abilities of drivers, teams and equipment.

Will Turner / Car # 92:
A familiar name to Touring Car fans, Turner packs a wealth of experience in BMW driving and engineering. Since his debut in 1998, he has had 29 Top-10 finishes and 12 top 5 finishes in 37 World Challenge Series starts including two wins and two fastest race laps. Will and his Turner Motorsport Company develop technologies to enhance the already high BMW performance level.

Bobby Sak / Car # 93:
A proven hard-charger, Sak ran the 2001 World Challenge GT Series driving a Corvette C5. His best finish was fourth (Lime Rock Park) en route to a 13th place finish overall. Bobby, along with father Don Sak in the Trans-Am Series, has a unique partnership with The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to feature the pictures of local missing kids on his racecar at all events. As a recent-college graduate, Sak will be a great addition to the team with his tough attitude and hard-work ethic.

Frank Selldorff / Car # 94:
A quick racing "study," Selldorff began his racing career with Skip Barber in 2000 while, at the same time, driving a Turner-prepared BMW M3 in SCCA and BMW Club Racing events. Selldorff compiled six wins in the 2001 SCCA T2 Class and numerous class victories in BMW Club racing. He is a perfect fit for the Turner team as a true BMW enthusiast who drives a Turner-tuned M3 on a daily basis.

Turner Motorsport was founded in 1993 and provides BMW enthusiasts around the world, through a retail store and a high tech web site, with ultra- high-performance BMW parts. Through extensive on-track testing in SCCA PRO racing and BMW Club Racing, Turner has developed a line of parts unequaled in today's popular aftermarket tuning business.
