Track bites back across the board in short qualifying session.

Trois Rivieres, Quebec - August 3, 2002 - With only ten minutes to qualify, the pressure was on to turn in a good lap. On a track that demands a cool head, you don't let pressure in the car.

"I single handedly took myself out of it," confessed Frank Selldorff.[#94 Turner Motorsport / H&R Springs BMW 325i] "With so little time to qualify I wanted to get a good lap in. Instead of working into a pace and building my time, I made the mistake of trying to lay down a flyer right out of the shoot. Next thing I knew... I had overcooked a corner and was out of shape. After that, I never got it back. I made the classic mistake." Frank will start 27th.

Will Turner [#92 Turner Motorsport / H&R Springs BMW 325i] gave a friendly nudge to his teammate. "We were all guilty of going out there a bit too hard... although, not as hard as Frank," he laughed. "I'm happy with my starting spot in fourth, but I'm concerned about the challenge I'll face with the two current points leaders paired-up in front of me."

"The car set-ups are good," he continued. "We made a change on Frank's car and went the wrong way... we'll put that back. It is going to be up to the drivers to stay cool out and drive smart. You cannot challenge the limits of this track. The track will win every time."

Bobby Sak [#93 Turner Motorsport / H&R Springs BMW 325i] had a spin during his qualifying session, but made no contact. Bobby will start 16th.

Eric Corran, [#91 Turner Motorsport / H&R Springs BMW 325i] who is joining the team this weekend, will start two spots behind Bobby in 18th.
