Defending Champs Aim For Sebring Win - Again

Sebring Raceway, FL - 03/16/2005 - Turner Motorsport, BMW, and Bill Auberlen have again joined forces to defend their Sebring win streak. In 2003 and 2004, Auberlen drove a Turner Motorsport/H&R Springs BMW to victory in the SPEED Channel Touring Car event held at the historic Sebring Raceway in central Florida. In both years, Auberlen and BMW went on to win the Driver's and Manufacturer's Championships.

Auberlen will be driving the #1 Turner Motorsport/H&R Springs BMW 325i with technology partners StopTech Brakes, Crocs, B&M Racing, Borla Exhaust, Red Line Oil, Sunoco Race Fuels, Pagid Brake Pads, and Motul Brake Fluids providing assistance to the Turner Motorsport team. As a team, Turner Motorsport has amassed 12 wins and 109 top ten finishes in Touring Car racing since 1998.

Sebring will be the first round of the 2005 SPEED Channel Touring Car Championship. The race takes place on Friday, March 18 at 11:45am ET. It will be a 50-minute/19 lap sprint race around the 3.7-mile 17-turn Sebring Raceway. Auberlen will go for his third-straight Sebring pole during qualifying on Thursday, March 17 at 11:20am ET. Practice sessions will be taking place today. Each session will be broadcast live from the SCCA World Challenge website, http://www.world-challenge.com/2005/events/seb/ and The SPEED Channel will broadcast this race on Sunday, March 27 at 1:00pm ET.
